Tara Harder

While still in her teen years, Tara came to the difficult realization that she did not believe everything she had been taught in the religion she was raised in. When introduced to meditation, she was overjoyed to find something that was not a religion, but offered many of the same benefits, like feeling peace in times of difficulty, making a practice of focusing on gratitude, and finding a community of people with shared values and a strong support system. Tara completed her first ten-day silent vipassana retreat in 2008 which continues to benefit her life every day through the course that it set her on. Tara’s love and gratitude for the word that surrounds her prompted her to pursue a degree in Environmental Sciences at UCI.  In her spare time she grows her own vegetable and herb garden and is an avid rock climber.
